WordPress Installation

So you want to install WordPress on your website but don’t know how?

Welcome to HowToInstallWordPress.com.

Here, I’ll cover WordPress automatic installation via Fantastico as well as manual installation. If you want to quickly install WordPress without wanting to deal with database setup & file transfer, installation via Fantastico is the way to go. But if you have the time, I really recommend you install WordPress manually.

But, if you’re still not able to install WordPress on your own after following my tutorials, I suggest you hire a professional WordPress installer to do it for you.

NOTE: In order to install WordPress on your site, you need a web host that supports PHP & MySQL. Consult your web hosting provider to learn more about your web server.

With that let’s get started:

Pre-installation:

1. Register a domain name
2. Get a webhosting account

Installation:

1. Automatic Installation via Fantastico
2. Manual installation (Recommended)

Post-Installation:

1. Configure WordPress
2. Post and edit a message
3. Install a theme/template
4. Install plug-ins

So that’s it! Now you can start blogging.
